Who knew this social distancing and lockdown could actually bring such a wonderful positive.

For the last month or so I have been teaching 3 groups of lovely ladies in garden settings (weather permitting!)  Although we have been on the whole pretty lucky all things considered.  The most incredible and atmospheric evening was with a storm rumbling in the background but just circling us, not a drop of rain and mostly blue sky above us for the hour we practiced.

This period has been amazing and actually taking my first steps into teaching it has been wonderful.  Getting a real sense of how my teaching is received and interpreted by the students on their mats.  I have been lucky enough to teach some people very new to Yoga as well as some Yogini’s that have been practicing for some time. (some even witnessed my Yoga journey and I could not have wished for better support and encouragement from them.  I am truly humbled and grateful that they have asked me to guide them through their practice and hold space for them.

Of course we had pets join in too and this was really special. I have learned that cat’s  are very adept at savasna and dog’s, well they like to make sure everyone in savasana is ok.

There have been some lovely comments like this
Emma’s approach to yoga class really suits me.
She gives a range of alternative movements in such a way that allows me to listen to my own needs without judgement.  She always makes sure to give sufficient time to savasana at the end of the session.  I’ve never had to ‘force’ myself to go as it’s such a pleasure.
